Susan spent almost 20 years working in and with the NHS, mostly in roles commissioning community services and working across health and care.   

After 5 years with Sight Concern Bedfordshire and then as CEO for Focus Birmingham, joining Vista as Chief Executive in January 2019 and is excited about leading the continued culture shift towards a stronger person-centred approach. Susan is looking forward to working in partnership with other local and national charities in the future.

Director of Income Generation

As Director of Income Generation, Kate leads Vista’s Fundraising, Marketing, Communications and Retail teams. Kate Joined Vista in 2013, having always worked in the charity sector, mainly at Cancer Research UK, where she gained experience in events management, community fundraising and charity retail. Her ambitions for Vista have been to raise the profile of the organisation and establish Vista’s first charity shops, whilst also increasing the overall income generated by fundraising.

New Opportunities Director

Jamie joined in July this year, coming from Imperial College where he lectured on engineering. He will help embed innovation across the organisation; to develop the next generation of services and to identify new ways to benefit people with sight loss.

Operations Director

Steve joined Vista in 2006 from the private sector with a sales and management background. This conscious change of career meant he could bring previous skills and knowledge to Vista. He has progressed through the organisation and is now the Operations Director, managing Community Services and our 4 Residential Homes.
Glyn Rees-Jones

Glyn Rees-Jones

Director of Resources and Deputy Chief Executive

As an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) Glyn joined Vista in July 2017. With a wealth of experience gained through various sectors, and more recently within not for profit and charitable organisations, Glyn will be aiding business decision making by providing and analysing financial information in order to underpin financial stability and increase efficiencies.

Glyn has also taken on board the role and responsibilities of Company Secretary.
