Vista is a charity that is dedicated to improving the lives of people with sight loss in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Vista’s vision is a world in which people with sight loss of all ages have choice and control over their lives and no-one experiences avoidable sight loss.

We are looking for a forward thinking innovative Manager to join our team to manage a range of services in the community that help promote and support individuals and their families to overcome the effects of sight loss.

The successful candidate will have experience in Managing a diverse range of services and staff teams, liaising with professionals as well as experience in multi-agency working.

This exciting role will oversee the operational delivery of Vista’s suite of community services within our contractual requirements; and develop new services in line with identified needs and funding opportunities.

You will be required to work 37 hours per week flexibly, including additional hours from time to time to meet the needs of the job, and some unsocial hours working.

Duties will include overseeing performance of existing service targets, budget management, reporting to commissioners, attending contract compliance meetings and representing Vista at complex case reviews with external agencies.

You will also be responsible for ensuring services fulfil commissioners’ expectations (local authorities, health, non-statutory funders) and that services funded via Vista’s own charitable fundraising are safe, effective and value for money.

The role will also seek views of service users on ways of meeting their needs/aspirations, analyse local and national evidence of need and identify new ways of meeting needs expressed by service users and develop these into bids for funding

You will line manage a team of service coordinators, including recruitment performance management and ensuring learning needs are identified and met.

You will be able to work, to meet tight deadlines, maintain comprehensive written records of work you will be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and organisational skills who has the ability to time manage and prioritise workloads whilst focussing on the fast paced needs of service delivery.
