This
role involves supporting people who have a sight and hearing loss or have a
dual sensory impairment and an additional disability to become as independent
as possible through supporting individual choice and control.
You will be required to carry out enablement support as required, support people to access their community through their preferred method of travel, and to enable individuals to communicate as fully as possible, in any given situation by providing access to written communication.
You
will need experience of working with people with sight loss, experience of supporting people in communication and making informed
choices, excellent
written and communication skills.
You
will be required to work 22 hours per week, flexibly Monday to Friday with the
requirement to work occasional weekends and some unsocial hours to meet service
needs.
