VI Running Taster Session
The ‘Running Lines’ system is an assistive device which helps children with sight loss to run independently. ‘Running Lines’ is a simple guide-wire device that gives directional guidance from a hand piece, balance support from the line and audible and tactile information from buffers on the line. The project is a collaboration between Loughborough University Design School and Mayfields Life-Skills Centre.
‘Running Lines’ is a real aid to allow visually impaired and blind children to run on their own with minimal help. Come along and see for yourself on Monday 13 May, 7 - 9pm, at Hinckley Leisure Centre.
