Danielle Hopper takes on a series of challenges to raise vital funds for local people affected by sight loss
Danielle Hopper has committed to challenge herself this year by completing a number of challenges in 2018 for Vista. Kicking off with the ‘The Big Half Marathon’ in London in March this year will certainly be a test.
‘I had challenged myself personally last year to complete a challenge a month and I wanted to use these challenges to make a difference. Vista is an organisation I was familiar with, as my great grandparents were residents in one of the homes and received excellent care. My partner has worked for Vista for many years and being able to see first-hand the passion, drive and motivation of the team really inspired me to want to raise funds for such a great cause.
Last year I was able to represent Vista at some really challenging events such as the Tough Mudder, Wolf Run, the Suffering Series, and even climbing the Gherkin! This however will be my first half marathon, so it will definitely be a huge challenge for me! I raised £1400 last year which I hope to beat this year by completing even more events’.
Becky Poole, Community and Corporate Fundraiser, said “do something amazing in 2018 like Danielle - as well as achieving your goals and having an unforgettable experience, the funds raised will help to support local people affected by sight loss.”
