To mark this year’s Dementia Awareness Week, we have spoken to Jayne Jackson, one of the care staff at New Wycliffe Home. As a Dementia Carer of the Year finalist, we found out more about how she supports residents with dementia needs - www.vistablind.org.uk/jayne

New Wycliffe Home delivers residential care to older people with a sensory impairment and people with dementia, and last summer it opened the Butterfly Lounge, a state of the art extension to the building, which means the home is now a Department of Health “Beacon Site” for improving dementia care.

For more information on New Wycliffe Home visit our residential support for older people page, and for further details on Dementia Awareness Week please visit www.alzheimers.org.uk/remembertheperson
