Come along and enjoy an afternoon of jazz in the beautiful private gardens of Belvoir Lodge, hosted by Her Grace, Frances, the Dowager Duchess of Rutland.

Taking place on Saturday 16 July, 12 – 3pm this prestigious event will help to raise vital funds for Vista.

There will be performances from jazz band Something For The Weekend and the Dowager Duchess, along with her gardener of over 30 years, will be offering tours of the beautiful private gardens, sharing the secrets of its splendour and selling home grown plants in aid of the charity.

There will also be a variety of craft stalls, a raffle, deli stand, Pimm’s bar and refreshments.

Her Grace, Frances, the Dowager Duchess of Rutland, said: “It is a wonderful afternoon of live jazz and an excellent opportunity for everyone, especially garden enthusiasts, to enjoy the beautiful views and gardens of Belvoir Lodge.

“As a keen gardener, I enjoy the event immensely and have my own plant stall on the day. In addition our resident gardener is happy to provide tours and share the secrets of maintaining and nurturing these picturesque surroundings.”

Set in the heart of the Vale of Belvoir, next to Belvoir Castle, the Dowager’s home offers breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside and wonderful gardens to explore.

Covering four acres, the grounds include herbaceous borders, a rose garden, a white garden, water features, and mature shrubs and trees.

Kate Naish, Director of Income Generation at Vista, said: “We provide vital support to children and adults with sight loss and the continued support of Her Grace, the Dowager Duchess of Rutland has been invaluable to the charity.

“We hope everyone will join us on Saturday 16 July at Jazz in the Gardens for a wonderful afternoon of music in a beautiful setting, and help us to raise much needed fund to support our work in the local area.”

Tickets cost £5 per person and children under five go free. Advance booking is recommended.

All proceeds go directly to Vista, helping us to improve the lives of local people with sight loss.
