Family Support Service receives National Lottery Community Funding

Published on 15th November 2019

Vista is very pleased to announce that we have received £274,491 from The National Lottery Community Fund, Reaching Communities England funding programme, to fund our Family Support Service for the next three years.

The funding will allow us to continue providing advice, guidance and signposting to families of children in Leicester effected by new or ongoing sight loss issues. It will allow us to deliver paediatric eye clinic support in hospitals, facilitate parent and carer support groups, creative and expressive therapy sessions, and peer mentoring opportunities.

"This funding is vital for Vista," said Susan Hoath, Vista Chief Executive, "and will help us to continue supporting thousands of adults and children across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our Family support service contains some of our most vulnerable members and the security of the service is a great relief."

The funding started on the 8th of October, 2019, and will continue through until 2022.
