Important Information about Crossing Issues

Published on 18th January 2018 in General

We would like to advise our service users about the pedestrian crossings at the junction of Halford Street/Granby Street/Horsefair Street, to let you know that they have been removed.

Therefore visually impaired people will need to make provision for alternative routes or take special care/measures when crossing this junction.

Also, there has been an incident with a guide dog on the Belvoir Street/Wellington Street/Kings Street junction.

The guide dog did not recognise the kerb edge. The matter is being addressed but all guide dog users using this particular area need to be aware that the dog may not locate the kerb.
