Trustees' Week

Published on 14th November 2017 in General

Vista is governed by our Board of Trustees. As part of Trustees' Week (13 - 17 November), we are celebrating the work of our trustees, who are critical in making sure we are doing all we can to improve the lives of local people with sight loss.

Trustees play a vital role in the charity sector. Trustees' Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do, and encourage people to get involved and make a real difference.

As well as people who have personal experience of sight loss, our trustees have had distinguished careers in industry, education and healthcare. We're extremely proud to have a hardworking, strong, supportive Board of Trustees. They accept ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of the charity and ensure that we remain solvent, well-run and meet the needs of our service users.

Paul Bott, Chief Executive, said "I’m really grateful to our trustees, who bring their invaluable skills, knowledge and skills to make sure that we deliver our charitable purpose."

"They fulfil an important corporate role, taking collective responsibility for the proper administration of the charity, and making sure that we use all our resources as effectively as possible."

"What is remarkable is that they do all of this as volunteers. I feel very lucky to have the board we have, and look forward to working with them all in the coming year."
