It was great to see so many people springing into action at the Volunteering Fayre last Thursday 21st February. Held at Evington Park House, Leicester Ageing Together and Vista spoke to many interested people about the several volunteering opportunities we have available, ranging from ‘Give and Take’; a networking event offering one to one support for people ages over 50, to the ‘Listening Bench’ where people can enjoy the company of others, take part in activities such as gardening together in the beautiful grounds of Evington Park, followed by a light lunch.

Emily Cross, Give & Take Project Manager at Leicester Ageing Together said;  “our programme aims to reduce isolation and loneliness in older people in Leicester and it was great to see so many people drop in throughout the day, interested in the many volunteering opportunities we have available.”

If you would like to find out more about how you can get involved and connected in Leicester’s diverse and vibrant community. There are great opportunities on offer to develop new skills and experience, meet new people and make a difference to people’s lives.
