Social and Activity Groups
Vista’s Social Groups, unlike our Community Day Services, are designed for people who are a little more active and independent. These groups meet regularly, held in local community centres or a venue near you. They can help you to make new friends and find out about other activities of interest. These groups enjoy planned actitivies and entertainment and go on several outings a year.
Vista will also provide you with a welcome pack which includes:
- A Group Charter
- Information about our other services
- Our equipment mail-order catalogue, in your preferred format, for Vistore, the Vista Shop.
Vista will happily offer people a FREE taster session to attend a Social Group near so that you can decide if this service is right for you! Booking your taster session is easy, simply call Vista's Helpline on 0116 249 8839 or email: choosemysupport@vistablind.org.uk
There is an annual Subscription charge of £20 payable by each group member and each session costs £10.00 and includes a two course hot lunch and transport if you are assessed as requiring it.
