Payroll giving is an easy, tax effective way of making a regular donation to support visually impaired people. It allows you to make a donation to Vista straight from your salary (before tax is deducted), giving immediate tax relief on your donations and costs you less!
Regular supporters are very important to Vista and the people who rely on us for help. Your money helps us to provide weekly activities such as our social activities and our befriending scheme, as well as practical information and support when people need it the most. Your payroll gift will make a real and long-lasting difference to a visually impaired person.

Payroll Giving is a HM Customs and Revenue Scheme that allows employees to donate tax free through their pay to any charity in the UK. Payroll Giving is a simple and effective scheme which allows you to donate to any charity of your choice in the UK by deducting a set amount from your salary each month. The charity will receive your donation + the tax you would have paid.
You simply fill out our online donation form. We then pass your details onto our Payroll Giving Agency who will communicate with your employer to set up your gift. You don’t need to do anything further, but it may take 2 months for donations to start being deducted from your salary.
If you pay tax at the basic rate, for every £1 that you earn, 20p is paid in tax. If you pledge £10 a month, we will receive the full amount but you will only pay £8 from your net pay.
If you pay income tax at the higher rate of 40%, only £6 would be deducted from you net pay and at the super rate of 50%, only £5.00 would be deducted for every £10 pledged.
Anyone who earns a salary or pension and whose employer deducts Pay as you Earn tax from their salary can set up a payroll gift.
If your company is not registered for payroll giving, they can sign up with a payroll giving agency very easily by going to www.cafonline.org/giveasyouearn.
You can change or cancel your payroll gift at anytime by contacting your employer. If you change jobs, you will need to set up new payroll gift with your new employer.
