The Work.Live.Leicestershire (WiLL) programme will help people who are economically inactive and unemployed living in rural Leicestershire, providing access to holistic, tailored support that enables them to move into job search, training or employment.
Vista have been awarded £2.4million funding from the Building Better Opportunities Fund, to tackle unemployment in rural Leicestershire.
Over 500 people who are unemployed or economically inactive and living in rural Leicestershire are to benefit from £2.4 million from The National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund. The programme will run for 18 months from January 2019-June 2020.
We WiLL support 271 economically inactive and 270 unemployed rural residents. This will include 270 women and 271 men, 110 people with disabilities, including mental health needs, 30 carer, and 69 people aged 51 and over.
WiLL is a partnership of 9 organisations; Vista (lead organisation) B-Inspired, CASE, De Montfort University, Leicestershire County Council, Prince's Trust, Rural Community Council, Voluntary Action Leicestershire, and Workers' Educational Association. The project is also collaborating with Access All Areas, Access Generation and Go Travel.
