Celebrating our Volunteering team on International Volunteer Managers Day

Published on 5th November 2019 in Volunteering

November the 5th may be in the calendar due to firework displays, bonfires, and Guy Fawkes, but for us it's International Volunteer Manager day and an excuse to praise a team at Vista that is often only behind the scenes.

Rayhana Brydson has worked as Vista's Volunteer development coordinator for nearly two years and has helped to expand our roster of dedicated and hardworking volunteers, in all areas of Vista.

"I love it," she told us, "matching people's skills up with the perfect volunteering opportunity. We want everyone who volunteers with us to have the best possible time." Rayhana helps to coordinate over 300 volunteers in a wide range of rolls, from assisting in our residential homes, to those that record content for our audio output, through to our Digital buddies who work out and about in the community, as well as many other positions.

"Above all we want our volunteers to get something from their time with us. Whether that's office experience, something on their CV, or just the knowledge that they're supporting thousands of people, we want them to feel as happy as possible."

If you would like to volunteer or are interested in finding out more information, please contact Rayhana Brydson at 0116 249 8843.
