Leicester’s Climate Emergency Conversation

Published on 27th December 2019 in General

We have been asked by the Sustainability team at Leicestershire County Council to share information about their Climate Assembly in January, inviting as many people as possible to take part.

The climate emergency means we need to become a ‘carbon neutral’ city as soon as possible. We would like to hear your views on what we should do to achieve this.

One way you can have your say is to be part of Leicester’s Climate Assembly which will take place on Saturday 18 January 2020.

No previous knowledge of climate change is needed to take part. Child care costs, travel expenses and a £20 gift voucher will be available to those who are selected to take part.

Please note that we will apply a randomised selection process in order to ensure a representative selection of residents.

To get  involved in this you can register your interest by filling in our online application form at: consultations.leicester.gov.uk or you can call the Council on 0116 454 2110.

Deadline for applications is 31 December 2019
