NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups looking for feedback

Published on 5th February 2019 in General

The Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (the organisations which plan and buy health services), are encouraging local people to get involved in shaping the future of local community health services.

Community health services cover a wide range of care, from supporting patients to manage their long-term conditions to treating those who are seriously ill with complex conditions.

The current arrangements for provision of community health services in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland date back a number of years with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust as the main provider.

The CCGs are considering how these services could be delivered in future as part of Better Care Together, the partnership working to transform local healthcare.

Since August 2018, the CCGs have been gathering people’s experiences to influence this work and would like to share with you what we have learnt so far and what matters most to people.

They would also like to share details of other work we have undertaken to review community services and how all of this information is contributing and influencing our thinking about how services could look in the future. Most importantly, we would like to hear your views on what we have found and what the future could look like.

There will be a number of opportunities over the coming months for you to get involved.  Initially they would like to invite you to attend one of six interactive workshops being held around Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland:

  • Monday 11th February 2019, 2.00pm to 4.00pm - Wycliffe Rooms, 27 George Street, Lutterworth, LE17 4ED

This includes patients and family carers, staff working in acute or community settings, social care staff, domiciliary care workers, GPs, care home staff and people working in voluntary and community organisations and interested members of the public. They also hope to welcome the patients, family carers and health and care professionals who participated in the research.
