Our Care Homes open their doors for National Care Home Open day

Published on 3rd July 2019 in General

Two of our residential homes are opened their doors to the public on Friday 28th June as part of Care Home Open Day.

Kathleen Rutland Home in Leicester Forest East, and the New Wycliffe Home in Rushey Mead, invited people to come along and join them in celebrating their fantastic homes, meet staff and residents, and take part in various activities during the afternoon.

The idea behind the day is to encourage local people to visit care homes in their community and to work together to develop better relationships.

Julie Rudd, Residential Manager at the New Wycliffe Home, said: “This is a great way to show the excellent services on offer and the fantastic work that goes on in our homes and meet our lovely residents and staff.”

Now in its seventh year, Care Home Open Day offers the opportunity for care homes across the country to throw open their doors, demonstrate the difference they can make to people’s lives, strengthen links with local communities, and help celebrate some of the really great care available.
