Jessica, Izzy and Kim's Story

When Izzy was first diagnosed, everything felt uncertain.

Her family didn’t know anyone else going through the same thing and felt completely lost.

Through Vista, Izzy has built her confidence, learned to use a cane and now has the support she needs to move around school independently, something her family never thought would be possible at the time.

For her mum Kim, Vista has been a lifeline. A place to meet other families, feel understood and realise they’re not on their own.

And for her sister Jessica, it’s somewhere she can just be herself, surrounded by people who understand.

We’re really grateful to Jessica, Izzy and Kim for sharing their story as part of Vista’s emergency appeal.
