18th January - ATW Mallory Park Winter Run 5k. Gear up for an adrenaline-packed winter running experience like no other! Conquer the cold weather and embrace the thrill of running in this event hosted by ATW Mallory.
Crocus Events - Crocus Sundays are fantastic events hosted at Leicester Botanic Garden and Attenborough Arboretum, encouraging people to get out of the house and celebrate nature by getting involved in hands-on activities. Come along and enjoy some beautiful botany!
Lent - Lent Starts on the 18th of February. Why not get together and organise a fundraiser for Vista? It's a great way to combine the decisions you have made for Lent with fundraising for a good cause.
14th February - Valentines Day - This Valentines Day spread love by donating to adults and children with sight or dual sensory loss. Your support means we can continue our vital services.
17th February - Ramadan - As Ramadan begins, many of us focus on kindness, charity and uplifting our community. By giving during this blessed month, you can help people living with sight loss stay connected, independent and supported. If you’re able to, please consider making a donation this Ramadan.
22nd February - Leicestershire Half Marathon - Take on a fantastic half-marathon event starting at Thorpe Hill in Loughborough.
17th February - Pancake Day - Lets enjoy pancake day by making it a challenge! Turn pancake day into a fundraiser and record yourself flipping pancakes. Why not ask your friends and family to sponsor you for how many times you can flip the pancake? You could even have a pancake day race where you run with your pancake in a pan, and flip it half-way through the race!
March
1st March - Leicester 10k - Take on a 10k route which starts in Jubilee Square and takes in the city centre, running past many landmarks including Leicester Museum & Art Gallery and Leicester Cathedral.
Easter Fundraising - This Easter, why not host a fundraiser? You could host a bake sale, do a treasure hunt or even a kids bunny hop race!
Crafting Afternoon Fundraisers - This month is perfect to get your friends and family together to do some peaceful arts and crafts. Have a collection box for Vista and raise vital funds whilst having fun!
Easter Wreath Making Workshops - Since our Christmas wreath workshops were a success, we've decided to make Easter wreaths too! More details will be shared soon.
7th April - World Health Day - As a health charity, Vista relies on the support of our community to continue its vital work now and long into the future. Have you considered leaving a gift in your Will? Your future gift, however large or small makes a difference. If you are considering leaving a gift in your will to Vista, thank you.
12th April - Drayton Manor 5k & 10k - Run around the rollercoasters inside the fantastic Drayton Manor Resort. Following the race you get full entry to the Theme Park.
14th April - Vaisakah - When getting together for feasting, celebration and festivity this Vaisakah, why not use it as an opportunity to give back to people affected by sight or dual sensory loss?

Get Adventurous With AbleNet - The months are finally getting warmer, so there is a great opportunity to sign up for an adventure with AbleNet. Whether treating yourself to something unforgettable or buying a gift for someone special, why not book a once in a lifetime experience and support your local charity?
Vista Sponsored Accessible Cycle Track - If you're an experienced cyclist or a complete novice, this is for you! Join us for a fully-accessible cycling fundraiser and get sponsored for how many laps you can complete. More details will be shared soon.
17th May - Snap Fitness Market Harborough Half Marathon - Run over 13.1 miles on closed roads through stunning countryside around Market Harborough.
Leicester Botanic Plant Family Day - Get involved in a fantastic Family Fun Day packed full of children's entertainment, opportunities to learn more about local plant life, and ways to fundraise for Vista!
Melton Golf Club Fundraising Day - Join us for a great day down at the Golf Club! Take part in a tournament and meet other people from the local community, all whilst supporting a good cause.
2nd June - The Mattioli Woods Rothley 10k - Take part in a fantastic 10k run which will take you all around the local area. Every step equates to pounds raised for the people Vista support.
20th June - Rutland 10k - Take part in an event that starts and finishes at the beautiful Rutland Water. Race includes a finisher medal and feed stations throughout!
Easy Fundraising Ideas For Schools - As the school year draws to a close, why not host a non-uniform day to raise vital funds for Vista? Or team up with students and the PTA to host a bake sale? You could even use your Sports Day to raise donations for our charity! Ask students to get sponsors from their family and friends. Download our School's Fundraising Pack and get involved!
Take On A Skydive For Vista - With Blue Skies, what better excuse to take to them? Take on an exciting skydive for Vista and help to fundraise for services supporting people living with sight loss.
Anstey Gala - An annual event bringing together live music, local organisations, refreshments, activities and entertainment in a fun day for all of the family.
Knighton Park Festival - A free event offering activities for the kids, plenty of stallholders offering refreshments and entertainment, in addition to live performances throughout the day. Come along, meet our team, and support our work across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland!
October
4th October - Lincoln Half Marathon - Take part in a fantastic 13.1 mile run starting at the scenic Lincolnshire Showground and making it's way into the heart of the city - passing Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral.
11th October - Leicester Half Marathon - Take part in a fantastic event where you'll see all the sights of Leicester before returning to the race arena at the beautiful Victoria Park.
Mince Pies For Eyes - Last year we hosted two 'Mince Pies For Eyes' fundraisers at our head office and in the community. Watch this space for 2026 dates. Why not consider hosting your own? Get your friends, family, colleagues or neighbours together to enjoy some tasty treats and discuss eye health whilst donating to our vital cause.
8th November - Diwali - For many of us light comes from finding help in our darkest moments. By supporting Vista, you can help us bring light to those who may be processing a sight or dual sensory loss diagnosis for the first time. If you’re able to, please consider making a donation during Diwali.

Carol Concert In Aid Of Vista - Are you part of a choir or singing group? If so, why not host a concert in aid of Vista?

2nd - 8th December - Grief Awareness Week - As Christmas approaches and a New Year is about to begin, this can be a difficult time for those who are grieving. Remember those you have loved and lost by making a dedication on Vista's remembrance page.
