An important update about Vista
An important update about Vista
We are very sorry to share some difficult news. Vista is facing the possibility of closure.
Like many charities, we have been experiencing significant financial challenges. Despite having a clear strategy and a strong plan for the future, we no longer have the cash reserves needed to continue operating long enough to recover our financial position.
We know this news may come as a shock and for some may feel upsetting or overwhelming.
We want to be very clear: this is not because Vista’s services are no longer needed. The services we provide are valued and essential, and we know they make a real and lasting difference to people affected by sight loss.
What we are doing now
Our focus is on the thousands of people supported by the charity. Letters and email communication have gone out to all service users, informing them about the risk of closure and next steps.
We are not giving up. We are working as hard as we can to protect the people who use our services and to keep Vista’s experience and knowledge going for the benefit of the sight loss community.
We have a short time to raise vital funds.
Please do share this with your friends, family and wider networks.
Whatever you can give will make a real and immediate difference.
A one-off donation, a regular gift, or fundraising through a personal challenge, every contribution matters right now.
We are also working in partnership with the local authorities who commission some of the services that we provide to explore how these services could continue.
