Over The Holidays at Vista

As the Holidays draw near, there are lots of exciting things taking place at Vista over the holiday period.  There will be opportunities to come together with the community, opportunities to fundraise for Vista’s vital services, and plenty more.

This page also contains details on when you can expect to contact our team over the holiday period, so please keep these details in mind should you require support from Vista.

Mince Pies For Eyes is a fantastic way for you to bring people together and raise funds for services supporting people with vision loss over the holiday period. You can join us at one of the sessions we have organised, or can host your own with friends and family!

Our Wreath Making Sessions are a great way for you to learn new skills, and meet new people from your local community – all whilst raising money for the services we provide across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

For those of us who celebrate, Christmas is a time to reflect and remember the relatives, friends or colleagues who are no longer with us. 

It’s why we wanted to invite our community to leave messages of memory this year via our Christmas remembrance page. For a small donation you can leave a short, personalised message alongside other messages from people across our sight loss community.

By giving in memory, you are helping Vista to continue our life-changing work, supporting people of all ages affected by sight loss in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.   

You can purchase your Christmas Cards directly from Vista!

Pop into one of our charity shops or our head office to purchase your cards at £3.50 per pack. Each pack includes 8 cards, with 2 designs per set - the cute cows at the top of this page, and the adorable geese below! 

Stock up early and get your card writing out of the way to leave you time to enjoy the festive season!

We’re delighted to be selling 2026 Calendars which depict gorgeous scenes captured locally at Bradgate Park. This is a great way to add a flare of local beauty to your planning for the year ahead!

Calendars cost £7, and £3.50 from each calendar sold is donated to Vista. Calendars can also be purchased from either our charity shops or our head office.

There are lots of meet-ups taking place in December. If you’re looking for a reason to get out of the house and meet others, this is your opportunity to do just that!
