Vista are delighted to share that we have received £1,500 from TESCO’s Stronger Starts Grant Scheme as a direct result of your votes for our charity in local stores.

This funding will go towards the activities Vista undertake supporting children, young people and their families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR). By expanding our portfolio of activities, we can support even more people through early intervention work.

Common outcomes from these activities include:

- Improved confidence and positive perception of self in young people

- Greater expectations and ambitions for future aspirations

- Feeling empowered to make decisions independently

- Improved physical wellbeing

Previous schemes have supported hundreds of young people and their families, so we are excited to use this new grant to reach more new people across LLR.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who supported us during the voting period. We are particularly grateful to Craig, the Blind Guitar Guy, who joined us for a day of campaigning at Narborough Road TESCO on the 4th of June – rallying votes for our campaign.

We are also grateful to the team at Narborough Road more broadly, who not only supported this campaign, but also generously donated items to host a picnic after a recent skydive which our Chair of Trustees, Jean, undertook.

A huge thanks to Kerry at TESCO, who not only organised our day of campaigning, but also arranged the donated items to celebrate Jean’s skydive.

We came first in the voting for this round of Stronger Starts, which is a huge testament to the support Vista receive from our community. Thank you to those of you who continue to support our work across LLR. Your generosity makes a huge difference!
