Vista Achieve NCVO Trusted Standard Level 1
We are delighted to share that thanks to the hard work and dedication of Vista’s team, our charity has been recognised with the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) Trusted Standard Level 1.
Formally known as PQASSO, this national accreditation demonstrates that we have high standards in our governance and operations, with systems and structures in place to ensure we operate efficiently and effectively to support our beneficiaries and deliver our charitable objects. .
Vista was assessed against eleven criteria areas including governance, planning, leadership and management, user-centred service, managing people, learning & development, managing money, managing resources, external communications, working with others, and assessing outcomes and impact.
This certification is a testament to the determination every member of the Vista team shows in their tireless commitment to improving the lives of people affected by sight and dual sensory loss across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Beth Brook, CEO at Vista, said:
”We are very proud to be awarded Trusted Standard, as it shows that our charity is well run, well managed and committed to providing high quality and effective services for people experiencing sight and dual sensory loss.
This accreditation will provide additional reassurance to funders and partners and confidence that we are committed to continuous improvement, signalling reliability, competence and accountability.”
Cath Bayley, Community Services Manager, added:
“Initially when you start the journey with the self-assessment for Trusted Charity Mark it can be quite daunting. However, being able to focus on each of the standards individually helps.
It’s reassuring to know that Vista already had so much in place when reviewing the individual standards. The support you receive from the Growth Company is to be commended and to receive the accreditation makes the hard work worthwhile.
I would recommend this to any charity who is thinking of implementing a quality standard, to help demonstrate high standards in governance and operations.”
