With the holidays around the corner, we are delighted to have two festive fundraising ideas which you can get involved in!

Mince Pies for Eyes - Host your own coffee-morning style session with a fun festive twist by sharing in a Mince Pie treat. This is a great way to bring people together during the colder months and fundraise for people affected by sight loss.

There are so many ways to fundraise in your community. From taking on a seasonal challenge to doing something which brings people together, your ideas can make a huge difference. Some popular ideas to inspire you can be found below:

Bake sale/coffee morning – Hold a bake sale and raise funds for Vista. Cake sales and coffee mornings are easy to organise and fun to do at home, work, school or in your local community. Get your friends involved to help you spread the word.

Hold an event – quiz nights, family fun days, bingo parties, pamper parties, fancy dress days, auctions or balls are all excellent ways to raise money and get people involved. Are you part of an organisation, such as Guides, a singing choir, a sports club or social club? Why not do a charity raffle, a concert or match, or sweepstake to raise funds.

Organise a sports day – Love football, rugby or cricket? Why not get everyone together and organise a tournament? You can charge for entry and encourage your team mates to ask for sponsorship. Skittles and bowling get everyone involved, no matter what age or ability.

It is an easy way of getting your fundraising ask to family and friends and the money is sent directly to us, reducing the work for you. Even better, gift aid is automatically claimed for tax payers who support you, increasing the overall amount that Vista gets.
