Jean Voller, Chair of Trustees

“Being a trustee and now Chair is incredibly rewarding. I get to use a range of skills and learn so much too. Our work makes a real difference to people of all ages affected by sight loss, and this means a lot to me.”

With the launch of Vista’s new strategy taking the organisation forward to 2028, we have a strong vision and a clear purpose for the next 3 years.

Our trustees play a vital role in making sure that Vista achieves its core purpose. They oversee the overall management and administration of the charity. They also ensure that Vista has a clear strategy and that our work and goals are in line with our vision. Just as importantly, they support and challenge the executive team to enable Vista to grow and thrive, and through this, achieve our mission.

We are looking for a small number of new trustees who can demonstrate our values and be a critical friend to our fellow trustees and senior team;

• Everyone is welcome and heard

• We are open and honest

• We learn, adapt and find solutions

• We are responsive, caring and committed

Time commitment:

A minimum of four board meetings per annum, plus an annual strategy or AGM day held in Leicester. There are various committees and working groups that can be joined and supported as needs arise.
