An opportunity has arisen, at our Simmins Crescent Care Home, based in Eyres Monsell, Leicester. The home is for people who have visual impairments and learning disabilities. Each person is supported to make decisions for themselves, with the aim being to support each person to take control over their own life.

Our dedicated, highly-trained teams are committed to delivering an excellent standard of care. We have excellent links with the local community, and every person is encouraged and supported to take part in leisure, social and educational activities tailored to their needs, abilities and interests.

The layout of the home, has been designed with visual impairment in mind, and Vista's services are always on hand when needed.

You will be required to work 37 hours per week and flexibly over a 24 hour period seven days a week, including bank holidays and 2 out of 3 weekends.

When rostered to work weekends and bank holidays you will be paid, at an enhanced hourly rate.

Some sleeping-in duties may also be required for which an additional payment will be made. 

You will be responsible for providing a high quality of emotional, physical and social support to people who live in the Home, respecting and upholding the rights and wishes of each individual, according to individual support plans. This will include your ability to demonstrate compassion, adaptability and integrity. It is essential that you are also able to speak and understand Gujarati.

Previous experience of working with people in a residential or health setting is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
