This is a special post for a special person

You will provide an internal service to support your colleagues to review and redesign services to ensure that they meet the needs and preferences of the people who use our services now and in the future. You will co-ordinate and support working groups to explore and implement changes where change is needed. This will include researching current examples of best practice, making the case for change and acting as project manager for specific, agreed, projects. 

We have already appointed a dedicated Quality Assusrance Manager and now seek to recruit a full time Service Development Manager to complete our service improvement team.   

Our ideal candidate is: 

-      Experienced in reviewing and evaluating front line services, ideally in the health and care sector;

-      Able to explore the evidence, evaluate practice and support people to design and deliver change;

-      Familiar with service planning and project management techniques;

-      Driven by a clear understanding of and commitment to the concept of person-centred care; 

-      Willing and able to identify and challenge the mediocre and push our services to the forefront of our sector;

-      A natural facilitator, confident working with experts (including those with lived experiences);

-      Excited by who we are, what we do and where we are going. 

Key attributes:

-      Qualified to degree level or equivalent with experience of working in a relevant sector;

-      Evidence of success in designing services to meet peoples needs;

-      Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills;

-      Good inter-personal skills with an enabling and persuasive approach;
