We've been awarded a grant of £2742 from the National Grid, as part of Local Giving's Community Matters Fund, for our warm room project. This means we can continue to provide this popular and vital service for our members beyond our original date of 13th December, and now continue until March 2024. Helping them save money on heating,  meet with friends and eat delicious warm food.

Director of Care and Services, Stephen Payne said:

“We are delighted to receive the funding from National Grid’s Community Fund, this will enable us to support some of the most vulnerable people in society by providing a safe, warm space, hot meal and activity. This funding will support our warm spaces and happiness project for 12 weeks up until the end of March 2024, one of the people we support told us ”this is my life line, I’ve met new friends and enjoy our get togethers so much”.

Michael Clarke, Corporate Communications Team Manager, National Grid said:

"I hope this comes as welcome news and we can’t wait to see the impact your project will have on your community.".
