Vista's blend of in-person and virtual gatherings

Published on 19th December 2023 in Community Services

Join us for a harmonious blend of in-person and virtual events as we introduce Vista's refreshed programme for members in the new year.

Whether you're stepping into our Community Room at our Leicester Head Office or logging in from the comfort of your home through Zoom, these events are crafted for anyone affected by sight loss.

Discover a range of monthly activities, from cooking, gardening, crafts and music. Immerse yourself in laid-back sessions with refreshments, where the emphasis is on social connections. Vista is committed to ensuring that these events go beyond activities, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.

"We're thrilled to enhance our program for members with these engaging gatherings. Whether in person or online, each session is an opportunity to build connections and share in the joys of community spirit," Rebecca, Member Services Manager.

For those interested in joining on Zoom but lacking the necessary tech, our digital support team provides device loans. For more information, reach out to digitalbuddy@vistablind.org.uk.

Our Meet Ups are ongoing in various community spots, with monthly gatherings in Loughborough, Beaumont Leys, South Wigston, Hinckley, and the city centre. These too offer informal and friendly environments for socialising and connecting with others.

Explore this delightful mix of activities, promising moments of learning, laughter, and shared experiences. For further details and participation, refer to our event listings or contact Vanisha directly on 07715078811.

These events are part of the SocialEyes programme and are able to run thanks to funding from The Masonic Charitable Foundation and Yorkshire Building Society.
