Vista is an independent, local charity providing information, support and care to people affected by sight loss who live in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We have been doing so for over 180 years and are working hard to make sure we will do so for the future too. 

Working flexibly 20 hours per week (hours you would like to work can be discussed at interview), Monday to Friday with the requirement to work occasional weekends and some unsocial hours to meet the needs of the service.

In this role you will;

·        Support assessment and triage processes to ensure that work is prioritised in response to risk and need

·        Accept appropriate referrals and act as part of the Reablement team to review, update and act within an individuals agreed support or reablement plan

·        Deliver specific areas of support as planned by a qualified reablement officer

·        Demonstrate and advise individuals in the correct use of assistive equipment

·        Work with a qualified officer to assist visually impaired adults, young adults and those with additional disabilities to acquire and practice a range of independence skills appropriate to their needs

Your experience of working with visually impaired people is essential, as well as proven verbal and written communication skills.
