We are looking for people to help in our charity shops in Oakham, Syston, Shepshed and Rothley. If you have an eye for fashion or for a bargain, and can help us meet and greet customers, manage the shop floor, sort, clean, price and display goods or operate the till, please get in touch.
Vista's Mobile Support Service will be touring Leicester City, providing information, support and advice about sight loss. Come and join the team on board the bus and meet lots of interesting people!
At Vista, our collection boxes play a vital role in generating income and raising our profile in local communities. We urgently need volunteers to collect, count and bank donations received through charity collection boxes and act as a liaison between the box holders and Vista. If you could give a little time to help bring in this money in your local community we would love to hear from you.
We have ambitious targets to reach in the fundraising team at Vista. One way we want to increase our income and local profile is by holding more regular bucket collections - but to make them successful we need a team of enthusiastic and willing volunteers to hold the buckets and collect vital funds for us.
To make our regular bucket collections successful, we need a dynamic, enthusiastic and willing volunteer to lead the team. You will be responsible for booking collections across the region, as well as coordinating our fantastic volunteer collections team, ensuring you have enough people to hold the buckets and raise vital funds for Vista.
We are looking for patient, friendly people to support our elderly residents to enjoy their food and drinks at breakfast, lunch and teatime. You can assist with serving foods, responding to the needs and wishes of a resident. The mealtimes are two hours long, you can commit to help at as many or as few each week as you wish.
We are looking for a volunteer with experience of administration, taking minutes, using email, and other methods of communication, to attend and serve our Forum. The Forum meets four times a year, on a Saturday morning. You may, if you wish, become involved in other aspects of the work of the forum; such as working with members on specific projects from time to time.
We have ambitious targets to reach in the fundraising team at Vista. One way we want to increase our income and local profile is by setting up “Friends of Vista” fundraising groups. We need dedicated, enthusiastic and hard-working volunteers to lead these groups and raise funds in their communities.
Vista has two homes, Kathleen Rutland Home and New Wycliffe Home, that provide high quality residential care and a specialist service for people with a sensory impairment and people with dementia. We're looking for volunteers at our New Wycliffe Home to socialise with elderly residents providing friendship, support and encouragement and to help create a warm and friendly atmosphere.
At our award winning residential home in Rushey Mead we aim to give our residents varied life and experiences.
With this in mind we have created an old fashioned sweet shop and café, to bring the ‘outside in’ to our residents. This creates interest, allows people to make their own choices, stimulates memories and helps our residents to maintain skills, improve their independence and so enhance their lives.
We would like to recruit volunteers to help us run the café/shop, which we'd like to have open 3 times a day 10am to 12 noon, 2pm to 4pm, then 6pm to 8pm. You can do as many or as few 'shifts' as you like.
