We will officially be launching our Active Early Years eye health project, providing free training and resource packs to Early Years Practitioners based in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland at Pork Pie Library and Community Centre on Wednesday 30th March at 10:30am.

Active EYES is a resource pack and training package that supports early years practitioners understanding of eye development in young children and the need to encourage for children to be taken for regular eyesight tests.

There will be two free training opportunities for early years practitioners, where on completion, they will receive a free Active EYES pack (please note only one pack per setting). There will be a morning training session (10.30am – 12:00pm) and afternoon training session (5.00pm – 6.30pm).

During the afternoon there would include a drop-in play session for children and adults based on our Active EYES activities from 1:30pm – 4:00pm.

If you're interested in finding out more about our early years resource pack or you would like to take part in the training, please visit https://vistaleicester.wufoo.com/forms/active-eyes-training-30032022/ or contact Oksana Tyminska, Vista's Creative Practitioner at oksana@vistablind.org.uk or on 07816 074977.
