Nicole

Nicole is holding up a CD cover which she designed during lockdown with Vista's Children and Young People team. It has a rainbow on it.

At 8 months, a nurse noticed Nicole’s abnormal eye movement. Since then, Nicole has been diagnosed with Albinism.

When she was 4 years old, Nicole and her family moved to Leicester and discovered Vista’s services through a peadiatric eye clinic liaison officer at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Nicole and her family have been involved with Vista’s Family Support and Parent Networking and children’s activities. She actively participates in Vista activities, and she has gained a lot of knowledge about her eye condition and confidence since taking part in Vista’s Children in Need virtual sessions and talent shows.

Nicole’s most memorable task is when she was given the opportunity to design the front cover for Vista’s music and creative expression CD chasing rainbows in lockdown. She enjoyed that challenge very much and she still talks about it.

Due to her confidence growing, The WOW Foundation. WOW - Women of the World Festival
