Vista changes lives. We are the leading local charity working with children and adults with sight loss. We want to raise our profile in the community, telling more people who we are, what we do, how they can support us and how sight loss can be prevented.

You will market our products and services, raise awareness and grow our online presence, helping us increase our impact locally. Sitting in the Business Development and Income team, you will also play a key role in helping us to increase our supporter base and grow our income.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in communicating to diverse audiences across multiple platforms, ideally in the charity sector, with excellent written and verbal skills. Designing marketing materials; creating key messaging; developing media relationships; copywriting and internal communication are also skills we are looking for. You should be confident in website and social media management.

We are looking for someone with great skills in communications, influencing and negotiating, who is able to build long standing, mutually beneficial relationships on behalf of Vista.

We are very keen to find the right candidate for this role and can be flexible in working arrangements.

We offer excellent health benefits, a defined contribution pension scheme and access to an employee assistance programme.

Working for Vista means you will be working for one of the oldest and largest local charities in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, working with people with sight loss and their families.

We welcome applications from all candidates, regardless of any protected characteristic and are an equal opportunity employer. We particularly welcome applications from candidates with disabilities including visual impairments, and we encourage applications from such people who are under-represented in our workforce and face disadvantage on account of disability.

All candidates will be treated equally, and we will base decisions on appointments on the merits of the candidates.
