Community Connector - Leicester Ageing Together

You will be required to work;

-         1 x 18.5 hours per week, Community Connector, working specifically with African-Caribbean communities across Leicester City

-         1 x 37 hours per week or 2 x 18.5 hours per week Community Connectors available to work in LAT wards, particularly focussing on: Evington and North Evington

Who we are looking for;

Our Community Connectors address social isolation and loneliness by supporting individuals and communities through asset-based community development (ABCD) and empowerment.  

You will have experience of community development work, of working in a team but also working on your own initiative. 

You will have knowledge of and ability to use a range of tools to support ABCD activity. Fluency in a locally relevant community language, in addition to English, is desirable.

·        Ability to work on own initiative and part of a team

·        Imaginative and innovative
